Poetry and Prayerbook

Description

As a way of showing how grateful we are of this congregation, Brother Marty Leeds, started writing morning or daily prayers to encourage each of us to take a few short moments in our day to bow our heads and say thank you for the mountainous blessings that we receive daily from our Creator. Marty wanted to write prayers that deviated from the standardized prayers that are often given and recited in the modern church, and create ones that were more poetic in nature, that would stimulate the spirits in each of us to not only show love to our fellow man and to the God of the Most High, but also be inspired daily by the written word to develop a more mystical, poetic, and sensitive consciousness to the subtle beauties of this often crazy and mixed-up world. This is a collection of 105 poems/prayers/songs to God and were made to inspire and lift each of our hearts. You could call it the Gnostic Academy’s Te-Tao Ching.
